Finn

Finn is a 6 year old Border Collie who came to us due to the ill health of his owners who could no longer meet his needs. He is looking for a long-term permanent foster home to put his paws up in. Finn was a failed sheep dog & has enjoyed a quiet life in an ADULT-ONLY home, he's never been properly introduced to social situations, so would be suited to a more rural home as the only dog in the household going forward. Finn is NOT SUITABLE for living together with cats. Finn is an absolute joy of a dog to be with, he is playful, loves a game of football and can follow all the basic commands. In the main, he is extremely well behaved although he can become anxious in certain situations and will give out a usual collie nip if he is unsure of something. He is fully toilet trained, used to sleeping in an open door crate and walks well with a harness & lead. Unfortunately, Finn had a fatty lump removed from his leg which after testing, was found to be cancerous. We have been told this has a 35% chance in returning and 15% chance of spreading to his chest, therefore why we require a foster home rather than full adoption as if this comes back ARC would cover any costs relating to this. Long Term Foster Carers will be required to sign an agreement and abide by rules set within this including keeping in regular contact with us regarding Finn's health and care and would be expected to cover all regular & everyday costs eg. Tick, Flea & Worming treatments, Food etc. Are you, or do you know someone perfect for this FANTASTIC boy?
